WHAT IS A BUILDING SITE CONDUCTOR?
The building site Conductor (Building site Inspector) – physical
person in charged by the investor to check the materials’
and products’ used in work quality and/or to check the correct
execution of the constructions.
Law no. 50/1991 regarding the authorization of construction
works execution (by Methodological Norms, chap. VI, section
1, art. 800, 2nd paragraph) imposes the obligation to follow
through the building works’ execution by an authorized building
site inspector.
He is responsible in front of the Investor/Beneficiary, according
to the law, for the checking of the correct achievement of
building works, on the basis of a Consulting Agreement between
the two parts.
The inspector is also responsible in front of authorized state
authorities for the project execution in accordance with technical
present rules.
The building site inspector/conductor represents the investor
in his relations with all the factors involved (designers,
entrepreneurs, providers, service performers).
